CONDITIONS

ECIS member: By choosing this registration option, the conference participant extends her/his existing ECIS membership by one year. By selecting this option those attendees who are not members of ECIS would become members of ECIS. The registration fee includes the annual ECIS membership fee of 25 euro.

Regular participant: Participants who are not members of ECIS.

PhD Student + ECIS membership: For those PhD students who are already members of ECIS or want to register as new ECIS members. To qualify for the reduced student registration fee, the applicant must submit a letter from the professor supervising his studies. The registration fee includes the annual ECIS membership fee of 5 euro.

Regular PhD student: For PhD students who are not members of ECIS.

Student registrations: In order to apply for the Student Fee, it is mandatory to send a letter/certificate from your University or Tutor confirming your student status.

Aditional information: The ECIS membership fee, together with 25 euro per each regular participant and 5 euro per each student and emeritus scientist are transferred to the ECIS. If you have any questions about this scheme, please, contact the ECIS general secretary.

Training Course (September 1-2)
The course “Design of colloidal materials for biomedical applications” is aimed to introduce assistants with the basic concepts of colloidal materials from a fundamental perspective and relating them to biomedical applications. Topics cover traditional methods of preparation of emulsions, nanoprecipitation techniques and assisted microfluidic preparation, experimental techniques for the characterization of colloidal materials and specific applications of colloidal materials in biomedical applications such as controlled drug release, theranostic materials and biosensors.
The training course will include a practical session in the laboratories of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Universidad Complutense de Madrid where students will be given the opportunity to apply some of the concepts learnt during the course to the preparation and characterization of stimuli responsive colloidal materials. 
The course is divided into two sessions, Friday 1st September (theory) and Saturday 2nd September (laboratory practice).
